Biography of Sabine Oel-Cocco

Sabine Oel-Cocco is a freelance artist born in 1966 in Munich. Art was an important feature of her childhood since mother Heide Oel was a passionate painter.

In 1986, she worked as an illustrator for book projects about martial arts and for children. Her first exhibition was in 1987. She has worked on various themes: nature, still life, portrait and animals. Between 1986 and 1992, she worked as a photo assistant for M. Schinharl and other photographers and travelled to Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

Between 1988 and 1991, she studied at the Academy of Graphic Arts and graduated as a graphic designer. In 1998, she developed an intense devotion to painting in parallel with her main occupation as a freelance graphic designer. Between 2001 and 2004 she studied in Hellabrunn, Tierbildnisse and worked in natural environments. Since 2005, her main compositions revolve around nature and still life.
