The painter in a male-dominated artist world

Born on January 14, 1841, the French painter Berthe Morisot came from a wealthy family and received it Private lessons in painting and drawing. The also French landscape painter Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot taught them in the 1860s. His paintings are romantic, but she chose the Impressionist style of painting, becoming the first woman in this art style group. Despite her friendship with Édouard Manet, whose brother she married in 1874, she developed her own style, which was characterized by bright colors. Her favorite motifs were family scenes and portraits, as well as landscape and interior motifs. She was considered one of the most important painters of the 19th century and died on March 2nd, 1895 in Paris.
