Abstract art and concrete paintings of flowers, blossoms, and lakes – Dagmar Vogt, also known as DAVO, is a German artist who combines oil, acrylic, and polish paints in her artworks and works in artistic series. In these sequences, Dagmar Vogt experiments with and varies colorfulness and tension relationships.
"I work with and in nature" – DAVO draws her inspiration from the interplay with the landscape atmosphere, which she translates into delicate layers and shades of color on her canvases. "Nature helps us to discover ourselves."
Dagmar Vogt was born in 1960 in a small town near Cologne and still resides there. She completed the first and second state exams in art and history. Additionally, she pursued academic training in painting with Prof. Markus Lüpertz and in sculpture with Mathias Lanfer.
Today, she creates artworks in her Wuppertal studio and atelier that balance abstract and real art. Besides her profession as a full-time artist, she teaches painting and graphics at art academies. Furthermore, she is a member of the Wittener Künstlerbund and the BBK Bergisches Land.
