Biography of Thomas Steinmetz

Passion for Landscape Painting

Thomas Steinmetz, born in 1959 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, lives and works as a freelance artist and editor in the Southern Palatinate. Although he has been painting surrealistic images as a self-taught artist since his early youth, he is now a dedicated landscape painter.

Since 1991, Thomas Steinmetz has made a name for himself as a private lecturer in landscape painting and through partly international exhibitions. He is listed in an international art catalog at the Italian GAI. Particularly noteworthy are his so-called "tree portraits," which have become a distinctive trademark of the artist.
