The advantages of our stretcher frames
Our canvas prints are crafted on genuine stretcher frames made from sustainably sourced Finnish wood – premium, robust and long-lasting. Thanks to the multi-layered, glued wooden bars, the frames retain their shape exceptionally well and are optimally protected against warping.
Your artwork is, of course, delivered ready to hang, including accessories such as wall plugs and screws. Tensioning wedges are also included, so the canvas can be easily re-tightened at any time if required.
Canvas print on stretcher frame
If you opt for a canvas print on a stretcher frame, we will add a mirrored border around the motif. The artwork remains fully visible on the front of the frame, while the sides are elegantly mirrored in matching colours.
Oil painting on stretcher frame
Oil paintings are created in your desired size without mirroring the edges. The sides of the stretched canvas remain unpainted. No part of the image is lost; the deliberately “unfinished” edge simply accentuates the authentic character of the original painting.
Tightening warped stretcher frames
We use only genuine stretcher frames made from sustainably sourced wood, which you can easily tighten again at any time, for instance if a picture has been exposed to higher humidity. Cover a flat table with a soft cloth and place your picture face down on it. The sides resting flat on the table then need to be gently retensioned by lightly tapping them with a small hammer.
