Munich Art Museum & European Art Collection

At the Alte Pinakothek in Munich, you will find paintings by European artists from the Middle Ages to the mid-18th century. The most significant works of Old German painting meet pan-European paintings here. The largest permanent collection of Rubens, with 72 paintings, is housed here. Additionally, you will find the famous self-portrait by Albrecht Dürer. Other selected works are by Rembrandt van Rijn and Leonardo da Vinci. 700 paintings can be found in 19 halls and 47 cabinets of the Alte Pinakothek.
