Artist Otmar Grissemann

Meet Otmar Grissemann – an experienced designer and illustrator from Tyrol. Since 1984, he has been working freelance, creating logos, posters, and book illustrations. He is also well-known as an author and illustrator of children's books. His works have been exhibited internationally and have received multiple awards. Mag. Otmar Grissemann was born in 1950 in Kappl, Tyrol. After graduating from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in 1984, he initially worked as a graphic designer in various advertising agencies. Since then, he has been working freelance and has made a name for himself as a versatile designer. His portfolio includes corporate design, art direction, logos, posters, packaging design, book illustration, medical illustration, advertising illustration, and art in architecture. Grissemann is also known as an author and illustrator of children's books. His works are characterized by affectionate illustrations and educationally valuable content that imparts knowledge to children in a playful manner. His works have been exhibited internationally, including at the Town Hall Gallery in Landeck, Tyrol, where he presented woodcuts inspired by his home, the Paznaun Valley. He also participated successfully in international poster competitions and was a finalist in several of these competitions.

Otmar Grissemann lives and works in both Vienna and Kappl. He is a member of Design Austria, a network of design experts dedicated to promoting design in Austria.
