Friederike Fischer-Achatzy was born in Munich in 1946 and developed a passion for art early on. From 1977, she self-taught in various techniques, including sketching, portrait drawing with chalk and red chalk, landscape painting, and watercolor painting. Since 1995, her focus has been on watercolor painting, which allows her to express her spiritual and emotional sensations.

Her works are characterized by abstract representations where colors take center stage and forms play a subordinate role. Fischer-Achatzy aims to direct the viewer's attention to new and unknown aspects through her paintings and to stimulate the imagination through colors. She emphasizes that her motifs should not distract from known objects or forms but offer inspiration for harmony and balance.

In addition to numerous exhibitions, she undertook painting excursions to South Africa, the USA, and Italy, which expanded her artistic horizon. As a supporting member of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), she also demonstrates her commitment to animal protection.
