Elisabeth Davy-Bouttier

Elisabeth Davy-Bouttier was born in 1960 in Beaupréau, France, where she spent her childhood. After a two-year stay abroad, she moved to Paris in 1980, working as a communications manager.

In 1987, she relocated to Toulouse, where she currently lives with her small family. In 1994, she began painting alongside her work as a communications manager. By 1998, she devoted herself exclusively to painting, which had become her passion. Lia Kasper of the Galerie Pro Arte Kasper in Switzerland (a specialist in naive art) gave her the first opportunity with a solo exhibition. Today, she is represented in numerous collections in France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, England, and Australia, acting as an ambassador of French colors on these occasions.

Seeking happiness is a choice that is not always easy. The wonder of everyday life is often clouded by a routine increasingly marked by haste and stress. However, there are still painters who represent the essence and original dignity of naive art. With vibrant colors and spontaneous drawings, Elisabeth Davy-Bouttier is among these individuals. Her hallmark is the French society, its cities, and small villages, which she transforms into enchanting genre scenes.
