Art style Photo art

Photography is an independent form of visual art – the term literally means "drawing with light." Since the first photo by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in the 19th century, the technique has continuously evolved, thanks in part to painter Louis J. M. Daguerre and physicist Richard Maddox.

Its artistic breakthrough began around 1850, initially heavily influenced by the compositional techniques of painting. Alfred Stieglitz founded the movement "Photo-Secession," marking the start of modern artistic photography at the beginning of the 20th century.

Today, art photography encompasses a wide range of styles – from abstract photography to classic black-and-white shots, as well as architectural and landscape photography.
